Open Air Museum Detmold - Restoration and Reconstruction Works

The Open Air Museum Detmold is located in the city of Detmold (NRW) and belongs to the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe. Opened in 1971, the museum, which focuses on cultural landscape and ecology, registers around 200,000 visitors annually. With an area of more than 90 hectares, it is the largest open-air museum in Germany. Among other things, visitors can marvel at around 120 historic buildings from the Westphalia region. Various events, such as special exhibitions, workshops or conferences, take place on a regular basis.
